Joined Midsize Community bank initially as the Senior Credit Officer and the past seven years served as Chief Risk Officer as the Bank grew its balance sheet, product breadth and complexity, went public, and sold itself. Established and maintained highly constructive relationships and very strong credibility with regulators, the Board, the CEO, and peers.


  • Chaired Management Credit Committee and oversaw loan approval process

  • Chaired Risk Management Committee and Change Management Committee

  • Oversaw SCO (hired 2014), underwriting,portfolio management, and internal and external loan review process

  • Developed and maintained credit policy to guide and react to growing and complex credit portfolio

  • Managed re-staffing, growth, and system conversion of the BSA/AML unit

  • Managed re-staffing, policy and procedure development of the Compliance unit

  • Managed re-staffing and procedure development in the Information Security unit and vendor management

  • Primary contact with the Board, FDIC, and DOB as regards credit quality, compliance, information security, and BSA/AML

  • Team leader for project to convert ALLL methodology to CECL using Sageworks

  • Primarily responsible with the Finance Dept for ALLL methodology since 2011
